Please come to Chinese Progressive Association’s International Women’s Day Support Committee Launch! CPA has recently been organizing home health aide workers who are demanding a pay raise and better work conditions on the job. On Sunday, March 9th we are showing our support for these workers by bringing together women activists from the last 40 years who have been involved in CPA.

Come listen to the experiences of a panel of multi-generational women activists who have worked with CPA. We will be featuring 4 speakers: a parent activist during Boston’s busing in the 1970s, a garment worker leader, a youth activist and a home health aide worker leader. Afterwards, there will be Q&A and food!

March 9th is also when we will be launching our support committee for CPA’s organizing work. CPA is currently focused on stabilizing Chinatown through tenant and worker organizing.
