15th Annual Chinatown Bike-A-Thon

June 1, 2019 - 9:00am

Boston Common
Corner of Beacon Street and Charles Street

The Chinatown Bike-a-thon is a green and healthy fundraiser to support youth leadership and a brighter future in our community. The ride is an 8 or 16 miles on the Paul Dudley White Bike Path along the Charles River. It is a family-friendly event that promotes healthy living and culminates in a picnic on the Boston Common. We are excited to continue to grow our Bike-a-thon and to grow our youth program with your help!

The funds raised from the Chinatown Bike-a-thon directly support youth programming. The Chinese Youth Initiative (CYI) provides internship opportunities to high school aged youth from the Greater Boston area, combining an Asian American Studies curriculum with hands-on community service and organizing projects. This year,  CYI increased its summer stipend by 50% to support youth who need to help their families. We could not do this without the help and support of folks through Bike-A-Thon. For over more than 20 years, CYI youth have played crucial roles in the campaign for a Chinatown library, voter registration drives, support for immigrant workers’ rights, establishing the first Chinatown Youth Platform, advocating for public transit and much more. Let’s continue to support youth as they open up opportunities to invest in and lead the community!

Ride as an individual or as a team. Prizes will be awarded to riders and teams who raise the most!
